Google Panda was introduced on Feb 24 2011 and has since been updated regularly. With each update, Google tries to refine its algorithm that focuses on filtering duplicate and low quality content out of Google search results. Google will continue to refine the algorithm in order to serve best possible results to users, keeping webmasters and SEOs on their toes to keep up with latest updates.
Apart from Panda, that focuses entirely on making sure that high quality sites rank well, Google also updates other aspects of its algorithm. It released “Freshness” algorithm update earlier this month that focused on ranking fresh content better in some cases. It affected around 35% of queries.
